Humanizing Death-Row: Meet our Team

About Me:

I have been against the death penalty since I was a young teenager. My mission, gifted to me by God, is to help the socially abandoned; the forgotten members of society.  I began advocating 17 years ago for men and women on death row and also being a support system. I believe that no one is defined by their worst moment and every life has a purpose.

Colena Corley, Executive Director 


Colena Corley serves as Executive Director of Humanizing Death Row, providing leadership, coordinating daily operations, supporting advocates, and helping advance our mission to abolish the death penalty through compassion, education, and hope.

Kirsty Smit,  Assistants Executive director 


Kirsty Smith serves as the Assistant Executive Director of Humanizing Death Row, helping lead our mission with compassion, integrity, and dedication. She works closely with the Executive Director and leadership team to support advocacy efforts, coordinate initiatives, strengthen community outreach, and help amplify the voices of men and women on death ro

Personal advocate

Danielle Green 


serves as a Personal Advocate, Pen Writer, and Journalist for Humanizing Death Row. Through compassion, communication, and storytelling, she helps amplify the voices of those impacted by the death penalty while offering support, awareness, and advocacy for men and women on death row and their families.

Kendra Costa 


Personal Advocate and Pen Pal Her role focuses on outreach, communication, and standing alongside families and advocates fighting against the death penalty. Kendra actively helps organize and support protest efforts between Texas and Florida while also emailing legislators to raise awareness about justice reform, human dignity, and the importance of ending executions.
